The Corporal Crew

Customers asked for a really warm winter sweater with a lower neckline.

The Corporal Crew is our soft, warm and reassuring answer. 

Knitted in thick 6 ply Loro Piana cashmere on a 5 gauge machine in London, this is a sweater to keep you warm in all weathers. 

The Corporal Crew has wide asymmetric hems, sitting lower at the back, a short split to each seam and contrasting bands of colour at the bottom of the hem both front and back. Somewhere between a crew and turtle-neck, the neckline is softly-ribbed and easy to wear.  

The two stripes to the left arm give the Corporal Crew its name. They are a reference to the corporal's chevrons worn by my grandmother Aethel's older brother, Victor Howe, a professional soldier who fought through the First World War and, remarkably, survived.
